Why come work for us as a new graduate?

We know it's daunting entering the workforce as an allied health new graduate, especially going into a private practice. Our company is passionate about nurturing our early career clinicians, by having a well developed new graduate program that helps you ease into the working world. We do this by a slow build up of your caseload, weekly supervision, a second weekly support session and training program, on tap access to directors to support you, a generous professional development budget, reasonable client numbers and a lot of time for research, planning and thinking. All our sessions are within the clinic so you're not spending a lot of time ravelling and you will have access to a wonderful experienced team. New graduates will also have the other new grad members on the team for moral support!

What makes My Therapy Space different?

Since opening a Speech Pathology private practice in 2001, directors Trish and Lisa have dreamt about forming the perfect multi disciplinary team. In 2018 that dream came true and My Therapy Space was born! Seven of our staff members had worked for between 5 & 20 years at a government organisation together. Our team is composed of passionate people working closely as a multi disciplinary team that supports children with all types of presenting difficulties. We provide Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Dietician services.

The directors live and breathe our company and work alongside all the therapists daily on the ground. There is no corporate structure here! Only people who truly care for their staff and the families we support. They work hard to recruit exactly the right people that will fit with our company culture of being fun, innovative and caring. They are available any time for a check in and all staff members are very generous in sharing their knowledge. We don’t send our therapists out on visits all day long which can be isolating. We work from a brand new, purpose built office space with 8 spacious therapy rooms, including a large gym and a group room with full kitchen facilities. Did we mention we are only an 8 minute drive from beautiful Burleigh beach?! A fabulous way to begin or end your day.

Our team is passionate about family centred practice and work closely together with families in a holistic way. We want to be the place where they can go to feel welcome and well supported. We truly care about each family we work with and we sponsor events for our families such as wellness retreats for the mums, art therapy for the siblings and Golf days for the dads.

You will never be bored at My Therapy Space! We don’t just provide individual therapy sessions - we run a wide variety of Speech Pathology group programs including cooking, craft, Hanen early language groups, DIR floor time group and Sing and sign. We love innovation and new ideas and are always open to trying new and exciting things! Therapists have a lot of input into the programs we run and are welcome to include their passions into therapy.
