Description

The Employee Engagement Manager will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing key projects/programs to enhance the employee experience. These may be related to site strategic initiatives, employee engagement, onboarding experience, employee recognition, and internal employee communications. The incumbent will partner closely with HR, leadership, Employee Engagement Committee, and other employee groups who are passionate about our employee experience and culture. The successful candidate demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a "can-do" attitude. They lead by example and hold themselves and others accountable while maintaining productive and professional relationships within the team. They must be approachable, transparent and can maintain a consistent and contagious level of enthusiasm. The successful candidate must also be forward-thinking as well as can inspire, motivate, and collaborate with others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Focuses on and leads programs that create a positive workplace
  • Helps drive the employee engagement strategy forward and executes the measurement that tells us if we are making progress against our goal of becoming a great place to work
  • Concentrate on leading all phases of our annual employee engagement survey: deploying the survey, analyzing, and communicating results, and action planning with stakeholders
  • Drives execution of short- and long-range strategic plans for employee engagement
  • Represents employee engagement at key internal communications forums; develops and delivers presentations and other communications for our employee population about the survey process, and outcomes
  • Helps facilitate the action planning process with employees to ensure the voice of the employee (VOE)
  • Researches, recommends and implements plans and tactics that help employees feel valued and drive employee commitment
  • Collaborates to conceive programs designed to educate our employees about our great place to work strategy and to equip leaders with knowledge and tools to help them improve the employee experience
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key internal clients and external vendors to successfully deploy the engagement survey and employee engagement initiatives
  • Understands the voice of the employee, conducts employee focus groups to capture the concerns of employees and recommend solutions, and design processes and opportunities with the employee in mind
  • Research employee engagement best practices and keeps abreast of new of employee engagement vendors
  • Recommends and implements projects/programs to improve any identified gaps with regards to employee experience, engagement, retention, and culture while aligning with long-term strategic objectives
  • Partners with HR to build a listening strategy (focus groups, surveys, etc.) fostering a culture that values and acts on employee feedback
  • Communicates messages in a compelling manner, promoting strategic priorities and engagement related messages to all levels of the organization
  • Leverages data and cross-departmental relationships to gain insights into the employee experience and culture related to engagement, retention, and communication to inform the approach towards improvements
  • Creates and tracks metrics to measure the success of employee engagement initiatives
  • Drives a culture of engagement by hosting employee-focused events balancing employee development, productivity, and fun
  • Manages engagement projects from initiation to closure, develops project plans and milestones, secures appropriate resources and provides stakeholder updates on the progress
  • Helps drive DE&I initiatives
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Psychology, HR or other related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in HR program management, HR, or any customer-facing role where you've developed and executed programs to drive employee engagement
  • Consistent track record in optimally building and maintaining employee facing programs that drive a positive employee experience
  • Survey research design and statistical and data analytical skills preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven abilities to influence others without authority
  • Strong leadership experience and decision-making ability
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Enthusiastic and optimistic individual who is deeply dedicated to inspiring, motivating and collaborating with others
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills, exceptional calendar management, and ability to create and adhere to timelines and schedules
  • Possess a continuous process improvement mindset with the ability to effectively lead and manage change
